New customers who commit to a term of 4 months or longer within our standard service area receive free initial delivery.

What if I'm in a dorm without parking access?
Our delivery drivers are experienced with college campuses and tight spaces. Typically, two Big Boxes can fit anywhere a car would fit. We’ll work with you to find a suitable location near your dorm or arrange delivery to an accessible nearby location. Call us to discuss your specific situation.
Can roommates share a Big Box?
Definitely! Many students share a Big Box to split costs. Each box holds approximately one room of contents (8’L x 5’W x 7’H), which is perfect for 1-2 students’ belongings. You only pay for what you use, and both roommates can be listed on the account for access.
What size is the Big Box storage unit?
Each Big Box measures 8′ x 5′ x 7′ (L x W x H exterior) and can typically hold one room of contents. Should you need additional space, multiple Big Boxes can always be delivered. What are your hours?
Big Box Storage is open seven days a week. Representatives are available between the hours of 7:30am and 6:00pm Monday through Friday and weekend hours are from 7:30am to 5:00 pm (excluding major holidays). Existing customers may also access their account information and make payments online 24 hours a day.
How secure and weatherproof is a Big Box?
Big Box storage units are designed to be both secure and weather-resistant. Their wooden construction naturally insulates against temperature changes and regulates humidity, helping to keep the interior stable and reduce the risk of mold and mildew.
What's the difference between a Big Box and a metal storage container?
A Big Box storage container is made of wood, which won’t rust or corrode, making it ideal for long-term storage. The smooth, forgiving surfaces also help protect furniture and valuables from scratches and dents.
How do I access my belongings at your storage facility?
Access is available every day of the week. To access your belongings, simply provide two hours advance notice between the hours of 10am and 3pm (need to call by 1pm and finish by 4pm) and your Big Box(es) will be ready for you when you arrive at the San Diego storage facility. There’s never a charge to access your storage!
