Big Box Storage Donates 1000 Holiday Meals To Local Children, Families, And Seniors.

We are a family owned and operated small business here at Big Box Storage. So to think that thousands of San Diego children, seniors, and families will go hungry this holiday season just doesn’t set right with us. So this year we all pitched in and donated 1,000 meals to Feeding San Diego, a local nonprofit committed to a culture of responsibility and dignity, and to leading our local community in the fight against hunger by efficiently providing access to food and nutritious meals.

“Founded in 2007, Feeding San Diego is the leading hunger-relief organization in the county, distributing healthy food with dignity to San Diego residents struggling with finding healthy meal options. The non-profit organization, funded by philanthropic and community support, is devoted to feeding the hungry, advocacy and education. FSD is committed to solving hunger in our communities and informing the public on the issues of food insecurity, nutrition, and poverty. We fight hunger locally by working hand-in-hand with partner agencies, local school districts, corporate partners and a network of volunteers to serve 60,000 children, families and seniors in need each week.”

It’s not just about helping our friends in need to get a nice meal. It’s about a Mom not having to choose between feeding her kids and getting a holiday gift, or someone’s Grandmother not choosing between a meal or medicine. It’s about family. We urge everyone with a few dollars to spare, to donate with us to Feeding San Diego. Together we can put a stop to hunger.
