Big Box Storage is proud to have sponsored the Poway Kiwanis Club’s Annual Holiday with Heroes event that took place on December 8th, 2022 at the Mickey Calfagna Community Center in Poway.
The free event welcomed approximately 150 Poway families with children in need to come and “shop” for gifts to give to their loved ones while paired with a local community hero in the military, fire, or police department.
After the shopping event, the heroes accompanied the children while they enjoyed additional holiday activities such as posing for a picture with Santa, music, games, and a holiday dinner. In addition to shopping for gifts, the children received other presents for themselves and their families such as art supplies, crocheted beanies, blankets, cupcakes, batteries, wrapping paper, books, candy, stuffed animals, socks, a large box of food, and other items.
Big Box Storage donated portable storage units to house the collected gifts, presents, and supplies and transported them to the Poway Community Center on the day of the event. The company is proud to have been a small part of this annual event and looks forward to showing its continued support in the future.
