We all experience moments in life where a decision we make will take us one of two ways. You say yes to the boy or no to the job. Baller vacation or save for a rainy day? We ponder the outcomes and make our best educated guess. How about drinking and driving?
We all know someone that gives so much of all they have and never asks for anything in return. You’ve seen this person day in and day out giving their time or energy to help someone in need fixing what others might view as ‘not their problem’. Often, they’ll do so without any expectation of thanks or praise. Unfortunately, when the time comes and our person of interest needs a helping hand, too often their generosity goes unreturned.
It’s cold in San Diego! Every year, about this time, we experience a shift in our otherwise perfect climate that prompts us to add on the layers and pretend it’s summer again. To the vast majority of San Diegans a mere inconvenience, but to some, a much more serious issue.
We are a family owned and operated small business here at Big Box Storage. So to think that thousands of San Diego children, seniors, and families will go hungry this holiday season just doesn’t set right with us. So this year we all pitched in and donated 1,000 meals to Feeding San Diego, a local nonprofit committed to a culture of responsibility and dignity, and to leading our local community in the fight against hunger by efficiently providing access to food and nutritious meals.

One of the biggest epidemics our Nation faces every day is hunger. So many people right here in San Diego go without food and aren’t sure where their next meal will come from. In honor of our commitment to giving back to our community, Big Box Storage has partnered with the Sera Mesa Food Pantry to provide a safe place to store non-perishable food items for families in need.
Funds collected go to lifesaving research and support for people battling cancer. Friends, families, and co-workers form fundraising teams and millions of consumers help by donating at retail outlets. Participants in San Diego enjoy an evening of fun and inspiration as they walk leisurely along a two-mile route at Petco Park.

Can Diego is a food drive event organized by FM 94/9. The aim of Can Diego, is to collect non-perishable food items to help those in need, in the San Diego area.
The event is currently underway at the Dave & Buster's located at 2931 Camino Del Rio North San Diego, CA 92108 .
FM 94/9 is also giving away hourly prizes and a $500 Visa Gift Card!
