One of the biggest epidemics our Nation faces every day is hunger. So many people right here in San Diego go without food and aren’t sure where their next meal will come from. In honor of our commitment to giving back to our community, Big Box Storage has partnered with the Sera Mesa Food Pantry to provide a safe place to store non-perishable food items for families in need.
The Serra Mesa Food Pantry is a local Non-Profit Organization that has been operating since May 2010. They provide food for individuals or families who are experiencing temporary struggles in obtaining basic nutritional necessities during illness, unemployment, or crisis. Their goal is simple: to lessen the impact of hunger in the community. As a partner agency of the San Diego Food Bank and Feeding San Diego, they provide hundreds of meals every Wednesday between the hours of 10am and 2pm.
As you prepare for the upcoming holidays, please consider picking up a few extra non-perishable food items to donate to our friends at the Serra Mesa Food Pantry. They are located at 2650 Melbourne Drive, San Diego, CA 92123. Our goal here at Big Box Storage, is to see a Big Box get completely stocked before Thanksgiving.
